Waterjet cutting is a process of making detailed cuts in stone with the help of water pressure and an abrasive combination. Waterjet cutters can make cuts of between 25-30 cm (10-12 inches) in hard materials. It is possible to cut thicker material. Waterjet cutting machines can cut 12 inches of the hardest stones like granite, marble, and quartz at high speed. Water jet cutting at an even greater thickness is possible if you decrease the cutting speed or increase the water pressure.
